So You Want to be a Star?

Want to be a star?

That's easy!

Join the volunteers at Look Up! The StarryTelling Festival.

We welcome anyone who wants to facilitate the goals of the festival to promote understanding of other cultures, astronomy and space exploration through storytelling, the arts and awesome science.

In return for 2 two hour commitments on the day of the festival, we will provide you with:

  • A really cool T-shirt, as least we think so, to wear at the festival and identify you as a star volunteer
  • One meal on the day of the festival
  • A star on your forehead!

The following positions are open:

  • Galileo's assistants: Telescope making
  • Stage manager assistants
  • Hosts
  • Children's activity assistants
  • Star Map Navigators at the Information Booth
  • Aquarians: The water bearers to the other volunteers
  • Mercurial messengers to coordinate between the volunteers

Send us an email or call 301-404-2678 and let us know how you want to shine!

You would join the following stars who are already a part of our constellation:
